Upwards Art Studio combines art supply retail with workshops. We carry a wide variety of art supplies including a huge range of encaustic painting materials. We also have supplies for acrylic, oil, watercolour, and gouache painting. We have a large selection of drawing, collage, and printing supplies. We carry brands such as R&F, Enkaustikos, Speedball, Sculpey, Golden, Liquitex, Crayola, Derwent, Apollon-Gotick, StencilGirl, and Gamblin. We are located in the heart of the River District in downtown Owen Sound.
We offer a wide range of classes for children, youth, and adults. We run classes that focus mainly on mixed media and encaustic techniques (which is painting with molten waxes and fire). We are honoured to have been awarded the Best New Business of the Year in 2023 by the Owen Sound Chamber of Commerce!
